WHEN TO BOOK
The earlier, the better. Spontaneous bookings are often also possible on the day of the flight. We recommend that groups book their paragliding tandem flight at least 1-2 weeks before the desired date. We recommend vacation guests to schedule their flight at the beginning of their stay (buffer in case of bad weather).

WEATHER CONFIRMATION THE DAY BEFORE

PAYMENT

We only charge for the service provided. Higher value vouchers will be refunded. -
CANCELATIONS

CANCELLATION BY VOGELFREI
In the event of a weather-related cancellation by vogelfrei, no fees will be charged. On request, we will find a suitable alternative date together. A delay of more than 30 minutes after the agreed flight time is considered a missed appointment. If you have a tandem flight voucher, this is then considered validated. If no tandem flight voucher is available, the full cost of the tandem flight will be charged.
CANCELLATION BY THE PASSENGER
You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the booked paragliding flight date, otherwise you will be charged the full flight price per passenger. To cover the risk of unexpectedly not being able to take the flight, we recommend you take out travel cancellation insurance.

CLOTHING
Warm, windproof jacket, long pants. If required, a windproof paragliding overall is provided free of charge (XS-XXL). Ski clothing is the right choice in winter.
SHOES
Sturdy mountain boots that reach over the ankle. Free rental shoes (sizes 35-48) are available. Please indicate shoe size when booking.
GLOVES
We generally recommend gloves in all seasons.
SUN GLASSES
We recommend wearing goggles, sunglasses or ski goggles to protect you from the wind.
FLYING GEAR
Provided by us: approved tandem paraglider, harnesses with prescribed back protector, legally required rescue parachute, adjustable helmet.

LICENSED PILOTS
All our tandem pilots have legally required passenger flight license. In addition, many of our pilots have a flight instructor license, work as tandem instructors and are world-class in competitions.
TESTED EQUIPMENT
We only use up-to-date, approved material. The condition of the paraglider is inspected by independent inspection agencies (such as TÜV) at legally prescribed intervals. Rescue canopies are regularly packed.
INSURANCE
All vogelfrei team pilots have the mandatory passenger liability insurance.
SAFE FLYING WEATHER
We only fly in safe flying weather. "Pedestrian weather" can be very different from good flying weather.

WEATHER CONFIRMATION The DAY BEFORE
On the day before the planned tandem flight (by 6 pm at the latest), depending on the flying weather, we will confirm your appointment by phone, WhatsApp or SMS or, if necessary, by e-mail. canceled/postponed. Please be reachable at your mobile number.
WEATHER ON THE DAY OF THE FLIGHT
On the day of the flight, your pilot will decide whether to carry out your tandem flight. We ask for your understanding that in rare cases there may be cancellations on site for safety reasons. Cancellations by vogelfrei will not incur any costs.

Cable car ticket
The cable car ticket is not included in the flight price, except for premium flights. To ensure that everything runs smoothly, your pilot will organize your ticket purchase with you. If you have the "cable car included" offer from your accommodation, please bring this ticket with you.
ACCOMPANYING PERSONS
We generally recommend that spectators watch the flight from the landing site. If you want to experience the take-off, you should expect longer waiting times at the cable car, which only the pilot and his passenger can avoid. This means that accompanying persons must queue earlier at the Nebelhornbahn (up to 1 hour in high season).

PROCEDURE OF A TANDEM FLIGHT
After our weather confirmation the day before your booked paragliding date, you are ready to go. To ensure that everything runs smoothly on the day of the flight, please read our information sheet in advance and arrive well prepared and on time. Check-in: Our ground crew will welcome you. We will check your outfit and equip you appropriately if necessary (rental shoes, overall). Time to get to know your tandem pilot. During the joint ascent, the pilot will discuss all possible options for your flight (film, photo, thermal service) with you and clarify any unanswered questions. You prepare your equipment at the starting point. Your harness and helmet will be customized for you. After the start briefing, a short test run and the final start check, we finally get going. A few quick steps, the paraglider fills up and we gently lift off the ground. At this point at the latest, the tension falls away and enjoyment is the order of the day. You sit safely and comfortably in the harness and can talk to your pilot at any time. The flight route is based on your personal wishes and the current conditions. The landing is gentle, sitting in the harness or with a few steps on your feet. Together we head back to the office (Nebelhorn). Here you may receive photo and video evidence and the billing takes place directly with your pilot. In the vogelfrei store you will find high-quality and cool items that will remind you of your tandem flight when you get home. We look forward to seeing you again!

We recommend that spectators wait at the Oybele landing site (for Nebelhorn flights). There they can follow a large part of the tandem flight and are up close and personal with your landing. Tip: Bring binoculars with you or try out our free LEICA binoculars. Important: If you want to experience the take-off at the Nebelhorn flying area, you should expect waiting times at the cable car, depending on the season and time of day, and therefore drive up to the launch site a little earlier. Watching paragliders take off and land on the spot is usually very tight on time.

The flight duration stated for our tandem flights is realistic and fair. Paragliding is a natural sport and may therefore vary in rare cases. Desired action maneuvers also shorten the flight time.
Waiting times
We plan enough time for each tandem flight. Nevertheless, there may be delays (weather, cable car). If your pilot is delayed (more than 15 minutes), you will be informed by telephone or text message. So please have your cell phone ready to receive.
CANCEL AT SHORT NOTICE
On the day of the flight, your pilot will decide whether to carry out your tandem flight. The pilot can also cancel the flight immediately before take-off for safety reasons if the weather changes quickly, even if this is unconvinient for you. We have been flying accident-free for many years according to this principle. We only charge the flight price if your tandem flight has taken place. You are responsible for the costs of travel and transportation.

VALIDITY
Your paragliding voucher is valid for two years from the date of purchase. During this time, we and our team provide an average of around 8000 flyable appointments. At the end of the two years, your voucher can be extended once for a fee of €39 until the end of the following calendar year.
EXPANDABILITY
Every voucher for a tandem flight can be extended. You have the option of booking various additional services on site, such as our popular photo and/or film service.
